Microneedling once a week alongside your daily serum helps more of each dose reach the follicle rather than sitting on the surface.
The weekly routine
Once a week, on a clean scalp:
- Stamp the thinning areas by lifting and pressing the device. Do not drag it across your scalp.
- Use light, even pressure. The goal is to stimulate the scalp, not to draw blood.
- Wait about 24 hours before your next serum application. This gives your scalp time to recover and keeps irritation down.
- Resume your normal daily serum routine the following day.
Needle depth
Start at 0.5 mm, and stay there. That is the depth we recommend for scalp microneedling — enough to stimulate, without causing unnecessary irritation.
There is no need to increase the depth over time. Consistency matters far more than depth, and going deeper tends to set your recovery back rather than speed anything up.
Keeping it clean
Clean the dermastamp with isopropyl alcohol before and after every single use. This matters more than any other step here.
When not to use it
Skip your session if your scalp is irritated, broken, sunburnt, or showing any sign of infection. Wait until the skin has fully recovered before stamping again.
Can I do it more often than weekly?
We do not recommend it. More frequent stamping does not accelerate results — it simply gives your scalp less recovery time between sessions, which is counterproductive.
